Meet Pocus!
This handsome boy and his brother Hocus (posted separately) were rescued from an overcrowded shelter and are now thriving! Pocus is a male, approximately 9 weeks old, and likely to be a larger dog when fully grown. He's a happy, spunky, and super fun puppy with a fantastic personality. He's energetic, active, and fearless, with a sweet and hilarious disposition. Pocus loves everyone and everything, and is a joy to be around, especially when he's playing! He also enjoys water and splashing in a kiddie pool.
Ideal Home
Pocus needs a very active home with a firm and consistent owner who can help channel his abundant confidence into positive behaviors. He would do best in a home with another active, playful dog to roughhouse with, as he can be too much for less energetic dogs. Due to his rambunctious play style, he is too much for homes with cats or very small children. A 5ft or higher fenced yard is required.
Ongoing Health
Pocus will receive several sets of vaccines, deworming, a microchip, and will be neutered as part of his adoption.
Training & Support
Pocus is still learning to be potty trained and is not yet leash trained. He is getting better with crate training but still needs more practice settling down. He can be vocal in his crate and has a hard time transitioning from play mode to rest mode. He is also mouthy and jumpy when playing and will need guidance to learn appropriate behaviors. Adopters should be aware that he is in the chewing phase and needs puppy-proofing when unsupervised. Consistent training, structure, and mental enrichment are key to his success.

Transporation
Pocus is located in Hampton, VA. He will need to be adopted within a 1-hour drive radius.
