A little about them

Meet Zeke, a gentle, trusting Akita mix who has blossomed after a difficult past. This curious, loyal boy is ready to find his best friend and a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Zeke does well with dogs except small dogs and does not do well with cats. He would do best in a home without children under 12. He is curious, dislikes being left alone, and needs secure fencing, doors, and windows. He may show barrier aggression when other dogs antagonize him, though he is not the initial aggressor. Zeke is also an attentive watchdog who will alert you when visitors arrive.

Ongoing Health

Zeke was rescued after evident abuse, but no specific medical conditions or health test results are provided.

Training & Support

Zeke is house-trained. He is curious and has previously escaped through fences, doors, and windows, so his home will need secure containment. He does not like being left alone.
