FROM THE FOSTER: She goes wild with love and covers your face in kisses for about five minutes, and then happily curls up in your lap for hours.
She's the dog you bring everywhere. The one who hangs out in the yard while you garden, rides shotgun on errands, and ends every night tucked in close, ideally as the little spoon. She doesn't demand much. She just wants to be near you. What ever you are are doing, she is the perfect little tag along buddy.
During the day she's content to sunbathe in the yard, chew a toy on the couch, or follow you from room to room. She's not bouncing off the walls. She's not anxious. She's just happy all the time.
And when it's time to actually do something? She's game. She likes other dogs, walks beautifully on leash, and has enough puppy energy to keep things fun without ever being overwhelming or annoying.
A few things that'll make you love her even more:
Wonderful on leash - you will forget she is on the end of the leash
Comes when called - very good listener
Crate trained - settles quickly, quiet all night after 1 or 2 minutes of crying
Potty training is going great
Learning sit, but working on jumping when she is excited to kiss you
Friendly and respectful with every dog she meets
seemingly calm around cats, but not formally tested
very gentle treat taker
At 35 lbs she's the perfect size - sturdy enough for adventures, small enough to be a full lap dog. She'd thrive with an active owner or a homebody, in a house or an apartment, as an only dog or with a whole pack.
She has not been formally kid tested, but she would likely do great with kids. She may just need some reminders to not jump on small children and cover them with kisses when she greets them. She is learning fast how to do calm greetings.
