Oscar is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old male Labrador mix who weighs about 32 lbs. He has a big heart and a joyful spirit, always ready to share his affection. Oscar is very social and quickly builds trust with everyone he meets, including children, men, and women. He loves being around people and enjoys playtime with other dogs. His friendly personality makes him incredibly easy to fall in love with!

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a home with owners who have a genuine intention to rescue and are open to understanding the needs of a rescued animal. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly valued. A high level of tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy is also essential.

Ongoing Health

Oscar has a minor neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he is resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or loving nature. He has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, multiple vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, heartworm test, and monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). He also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Oscar is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences. Patience, understanding, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries are crucial for him to feel secure and build trust.
