Phineas is a shy but curious Yorkie mix who is about 4 months old and weighs 17 lbs. He came to us from a hoarding situation and is still learning to trust. Phineas would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe and secure. He might also benefit from having another confident dog around to show him the ropes. Due to his past, he's not the most social dog and may never be one who enjoys cuddles or car rides, but he is looking for a patient family who can give him the space he needs to blossom. He does have a wirey coat, which may be suitable for individuals with allergies.
Ideal Home
A calm and quiet home environment is a must for Phineas. He needs a fully fenced yard to feel secure. He would also do best in a home without apartments.
Ongoing Health
Phineas is a young puppy and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Phineas is undersocialized and will need a patient family to help him gain confidence. He may never be a dog who enjoys being held or going on car rides, but he will be a loyal companion in a home where he feels safe. As with all our dogs, it is assumed he will need potty training and to learn house manners.
