Bucatini is a 5-year-old, 60-pound shepherd mix whose quiet resilience is beginning to shine. Found as a stray, he arrived shut down and unsure, but with patience, structure, and kindness, he is blossoming.

Through gentle guidance, confidence-building exercises, and puzzle work with his volunteer trainer, Bucatini is learning to decompress, engage, and trust. He now makes eye contact, responds to cues, and is beginning to feel safe. He may take a moment when meeting new people, but each positive interaction helps him gain confidence.

Bucatini is looking for a patient, loving home that will meet him where he is and continue supporting his journey. He has so much potential to become a confident, loyal companion.

Ongoing Health

• Bucatini will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested.
• A mass was removed from his hip; biopsy results showed it was an older-man bump and non-cancerous.

Training & Support

• He has worked with a volunteer trainer on gentle guidance, confidence-building exercises, and puzzle work.
• He is learning to decompress, engage, trust, and respond to cues.
