A little about them
Freya is a 2.5-year-old, 68-pound Doberman with a sweet, playful, and adorably goofy personality. She loves her people, toys, car rides, walks, outdoor adventures, and quietly relaxing beside her family. Freya was surrendered when her family relocated internationally and could not take her with them.
Freya is affectionate, loyal, curious, independent, gentle, friendly, and well-mannered. She may be shy or timid with unfamiliar people, dogs, and new situations, but she is not aggressive and warms up with patience and reassurance. Once comfortable, she enjoys running and playing with canine friends. She also has a high squirrel prey drive, but responds well to “leave it” and redirection.
Ideal Home
Freya would love an active family who wants to include her in walks, running, hiking, biking, car rides, and everyday life. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful. She is great with men, women, children of all ages, dogs, and cats in the home. A patient family willing to help her feel secure during storms and periods of separation would be the best match.
Freya has a three-year-old male brother named Biscuit who is also available for adoption. They do not need to be adopted together, but they can be.
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention. She has no known health concerns. A health certificate will be provided before transport.
Training & Support
Freya is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, food motivated, and comfortable sleeping in her crate overnight or staying crated while her family is away. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Crate, Leave It, and House; when told “House,” she comes and sits between her person’s legs. She loves car rides and enjoys playing with squirrel-shaped toys.
