Buddy Edward

Buddy Edward is a happy, affectionate Shih Tzu with curly white and tan fur who loves attention, sitting on his foster mom’s lap, car rides, and going anywhere. He came to rescue after his elderly owners struggled to care for themselves and their pets, and he is now looking for a committed family.

Buddy is working on his weight after arriving at 18 pounds. His foster provides special kibble and one meal a day. His former bald spots from skin infections have grown back, and his breed requires exercise and extensive regular grooming.

Ideal Home

Buddy is fostered with cats, small dogs, and big dogs. He is affectionate, gentle, leash trained, and potty trained.

Ongoing Health

• His bloodwork looks great, though his weight remains a concern because obesity can cause health problems.
• Previous bald spots caused by skin infections have grown back.
• Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered.
• Tested negative for heartworms and receives prevention.

Training & Support

• Leash trained and potty trained.
• Regular professional grooming will be needed.
