Hi, my name is Freckles! I’m a beautiful three-year-old Border Collie weighing about 60 pounds. I’m a sweet, gentle girl with a calm nature who enjoys walks and spending time with my people. I prefer quieter environments and am still building confidence with new experiences.

I lost the only home I had known when my owner moved into a nursing care facility, but a wonderful rescue is helping me find a loving forever home. I’m loyal, gentle, calm, and well-mannered in the house, and I’m not much of a barker.

Ideal Home

I would do best with:

• A securely fenced yard while I continue settling in and gaining confidence
• A quieter home rather than a busy, hectic environment
• A home without cats, since I haven’t been around them
• People who can offer patience and encouragement as I adjust

I get along well with other dogs and have done very well around my family’s grandchildren.

Ongoing Health

I’m healthy, heartworm negative, currently on heartworm prevention, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

I’m house trained and crate trained. Since coming into rescue, I’ve learned to walk on a leash and enjoy going for walks.
