Hi, my name is Freckles! I'm a beautiful three-year-old Border Collie mix, weighing about 60 pounds. My world changed when my owner had to move into a nursing care facility. My best friend, Maddie, and I lost the only home we had ever known, but thankfully a wonderful rescue stepped in to help us find the loving forever homes we deserve. I'm a sweet, gentle girl with a calm nature. I enjoy going on walks and spending time with my people, but I prefer quieter environments over busy, hectic ones. I'm still building my confidence with new experiences, so I'll do best in a home where I can settle in comfortably.

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard while I settle in. Because of my personality, I don't think an apartment or condo without a yard would be the right fit for me. I haven't been around cats, so I'm hoping for a home without feline roommates.

Ongoing Health

I am heartworm negative and currently on heartworm prevention. I am spayed, microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all of my vaccinations.

Training & Support

Since coming into rescue, I've learned how to walk on a leash. I am house-trained and crate-trained. With a little patience and encouragement, my confidence continues to grow every day. I get along well with other dogs, and I am calm and well-mannered in the house and not much of a barker. I've also spent time around grandchildren and did very well.
