Sally is a loving 7-year-old, 65-pound German Shepherd mix who forms deep bonds with her people. She enjoys canine companions, car rides, her Lamb Chop toy, daily walks, playtime, and relaxing with her family.

Sally is house trained, knows several basic commands, is food motivated, and eager to please. She currently lives successfully with large and small dogs and four cats. She is reactive toward unfamiliar dogs while on leash and may vocalize when dogs pass the house, so she needs a confident, experienced handler committed to continuing her training. She prefers freedom to roam when left alone and becomes stressed when crated or shut in a room.

Found as a stray shortly after having puppies, Sally completed heartworm treatment and was later returned through no fault of her own when her adopter's partner developed allergies. She remains affectionate, devoted, and eager to connect with her people.

Sally is looking for an experienced, active home that can provide patient leadership, ongoing training, and a lifelong commitment. Applicants' dogs must meet Sally to ensure they get along.

• DAPP and rabies vaccinations are covered as age-appropriate; adopters are responsible for vaccinations after adoption.

• House trained and familiar with several basic commands.

• She should not be confined to a crate or room when left alone.

Application Details

• Complete an adoption application and allow up to 72 hours for review.
