Sally #4 is a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing around 65 pounds. She has beautiful brown and black coloring and a heart full of love for her people. Sally is affectionate, sweet, and enjoys being close to her humans. Belly rubs are a favorite, and she's always happy to curl up for cuddles once she feels comfortable. She can be a bit shy and nervous at first, but with patience and consistency, she warms up and shows a loyal, protective side to those she trusts. Sally is fully house-trained and uses a doggie door. She is comfortable being left alone for 6-8 hours with other dogs in the house and will settle after some initial barking at outside noises, which can be easily redirected with commands. Crate training is going great; she goes in willingly, sleeps through the night, and often chooses her kennel for daytime naps. She knows several basic commands, including come, sit, stay, no, and wait, and responds well to structure and clear boundaries. On leash, Sally may bark or react when she sees other dogs or wheeled objects, though she is easily redirected. She enjoys walks, car rides, toys, chewing bones, and playing with her stuffies. She does best with dogs her own size and has successfully bonded with a same-size dog in her foster home with slow introductions. Sally has not yet been tested with cats or children. She has no preference for men or women and truly loves people. Her energy level is between medium and high; she enjoys daily activity and playtime but is also able to relax and settle when it's time to unwind.
