A little about them
Bambi is a funny, affectionate little queen with a big personality and a playful spirit. Now fostered in Truxton, NY, she loves belly rubs, ear scratches, couch cuddles, tug-of-war, chasing toys, car rides, and being close to her people.
Bambi is believed to be a Chihuahua mix, around 6 years old, and approximately 30 pounds. As a rescue, her breed and age cannot be guaranteed.
Ideal Home
Bambi is social and affectionate, though she may jump when excited and can be particular about other dogs. She may enjoy a confident, respectful dog who matches her playful wrestling and chase style, but she would also be happy as your only dog. She has shown curiosity and playfulness with cats and would do best with a dog-savvy cat. She has done well with older children, especially dog-savvy children age 10 and up.
She could live in an apartment or house. A yard would be a bonus, though daily walks and playtime can help meet her needs. She is happy to be active and playful, then settle in for a cozy cuddle. She may use her voice enthusiastically when asking for treats.
Ongoing Health
The adoption fee includes routine veterinary care, DAPP with booster, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, spay/neuter, a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Bambi knows sit, shake, and stay, and is learning lay down. She is treat-motivated and may excel at trick training or dog sports. She is potty trained, non-destructive, crate trained for overnight sleeping, and settles easily. She loves car rides and loads herself into the car.
