Benny is a 4–4.5-year-old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing 45–50 pounds. He is incredibly sweet, loves the water, and has a playful, fun-loving personality. He was previously adopted but returned due to improper introductions with another male dog. He ended up at a rural shelter through no fault of his own. Benny plays well with other medium to large dogs, both male and female, and has even stepped in as a peacemaker when he notices tension between dogs. In his current home, he has had no issues playing appropriately with dogs his size or larger. Cats are unknown. He rides well in the car and does not experience anxiety when left home alone. While he enjoys splashing in the pool, his absolute favorite activity is playing frisbee—he can leap and catch it mid-air for hours! He’s smart, handsome, and would thrive in an active, playful home. Benny has a medium energy level—he’s not hyper—but he does love to run, jump, and engage in fun activities. This adorable, medium-sized guy is ready for his forever home.
Ideal Home
An active, playful home where he can continue to enjoy his love for frisbee and water. He would be happy as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion. He cannot be tied out or use an electric fence.
Ongoing Health
Benny is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Benny is crate trained and fully potty trained. He rides well in the car and does not experience separation anxiety.
