Barkley

Barkley is a loving, expressive American Bully mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He enjoys being close to his people—often climbing into laps—and is loyal, entertaining, and eager to please.

Barkley came into the shelter emaciated and weak, but foster care helped him become strong and healthy. He is now ready for a fresh start with a committed family.

Ideal Home

Barkley needs someone who understands that he is strong and still developing his manners. He does well with most dogs and has shown patience with a cranky foster cat. His enthusiastic greetings, jumping, mouthing when overstimulated, and expressive grumbles mean he will do best with structure, consistency, and continued training support.

Ongoing Health

Barkley is currently described as strong and healthy. He weighs 61.6 pounds and is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Barkley is smart and wants to please, but he is a work in progress. Continued training will help him manage his excitement, jumping, full-body greetings, and overenthusiastic mouthing.
