A little about them
Poe is a loyal, affectionate, athletic Mastiff who loves being close to his people. He enjoys car rides, adventures, enrichment games, learning new things, and giving kisses. In quieter environments, Poe can relax and show his sweet, goofy personality.
Ideal Home
Poe needs an adult-only, cat-free home as the only pet. A quiet suburban or rural setting with a securely fenced yard would suit him best. His ideal adopter is active, experienced with strong guardian breeds, and interested in building a partnership through training and outdoor activities.
Poe has guardian instincts and may react to dogs, unfamiliar people who get too close, and unexpected movement outside. He needs thoughtful introductions and an adopter committed to continuing his progress. He is an excellent watchdog without being an excessive barker and settles when his person acknowledges his alert.
Ongoing Health
Poe is up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.
Training & Support
Poe walks nicely on a loose leash and is house-trained. He settles well in his crate during the day and overnight when his people are home, but he should not be crated when left alone because he may try to break out. When given access to the house, he tends to settle in one room.
Poe is highly food motivated, eager to please, and a fast learner. He loves enrichment games and learning new things. He enjoys car rides but should not be left alone in a vehicle.
