Meet Chino!

Chino is a sweet 4-year-old Maltese who is looking for a peaceful home where he can be your one and only companion. He’s still learning how to accept affection, and while he might be a little shy initially, he’s a true gem once he trusts you. This little guy would thrive with a single person or an older adult who has some prior dog experience and can provide a consistent, quiet, and loving environment. Chino walks nicely on a leash and is very motivated by treats, especially cheese! He’s not a playful dog and prefers to relax by his person’s side, soaking up all the love and attention.

Ideal Home

Chino would do best in a calm, quiet home with a single person or older adult who has previous dog experience. He needs someone patient who understands that building trust takes time. He is not playful with other dogs and prefers to be the sole focus of attention.

Chino is a healthy boy.

Chino is working on accepting affection and building trust. He is treat-motivated and walks well on a leash.

Transportation

Chino is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can choose to pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
