Herbie is a sweet, gentle Chihuahua mix who loves cuddling, napping beside his people, and being a devoted lap dog. Calm, affectionate, and easygoing, he is happiest spending quiet time with his family. He also enjoys toys, romping with a stuffy or ball, and gently accepting treats.

Ideal Home

Herbie has lived successfully with dogs of many sizes and energy levels. He can thrive in an apartment or a home with a fenced yard, as long as he has loving people and a comfortable place to relax.

Ongoing Health

Herbie is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption package includes routine veterinary care, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccination, deworming, flea prevention, heartworm prevention, a heartworm test, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Herbie is house-trained and is described as quiet, gentle, and well-mannered. The rescue provides behavioral assessments and individualized support, including crate training, potty training, and leash-walking guidance as needed.

Nationwide transport is available through the rescue’s USDA-certified system with 24/7 care and drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA; Buffalo, NY; or Brattleboro, VT.
