Sadey is a 2-year-old, 58 lb female dog with a sweet, caramel-swirled coat. She walks around like a warm hug with legs and has a smile so sweet it could power a small town. When Sadey loves you, she does a full-body lean that melts into a dramatic flop right onto your feet. She greets new people as if she's been waiting her whole life to meet them, showering everyone with affection and unfamiliar with the concept of personal space. We believe Sadey is a Lab/Golden Retriever mix, but with rescue, it's always a best guess! She is past the crazy puppy stage and is at the perfect age to enjoy exploring and fun just as much as she loves a long nap on the couch. Sadey loves her walks, exploring, being adored, and being included in whatever her people are doing. When out and about, she will pull occasionally out of excitement and likes to show off her voice when she sees a friendly face or doggy friend. She does well with correction and will continue to learn polite leash manners with consistency and structured walks. When the adventures wind down, she curls up into the softest, sleepiest little cinnamon roll for snuggle time.
Ideal Home
Sadey would thrive with a semi-active family in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, play chase with potential doggy siblings, and enjoy nice summer days. She thrives with structure and will do best with an adopter that has a little experience under their belt and will provide her with the structure she needs. Bonus points if you have a pool or water nearby, as she loves splashing around!
