Meet River, a remarkable 1-year-old Plott Hound/Lab mix with a resilient spirit and a loving heart. Born outdoors and swept away by a river, he is now safe, thriving, and ready for a forever family. River is curious, playful, affectionate, gentle, loyal, and wonderfully funny. He loves people—especially children—and enjoys exploring, learning, splashing in the water, and soaking up the sun. Fostered in Texas.

Ideal Home

River gets along well with dogs and children, but he cannot live with cats.

River is clever, patient, and eager to learn. He is not yet house-trained and will need guidance and encouragement as he adapts to indoor life.
