Liberty

Meet Liberty, a beautiful two-year-old, 40-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix with a medium energy level. She enjoys playtime, walks, favorite toys, and the occasional zoomie, but she also knows how to settle down and relax with her people. Liberty is affectionate in a gentle, independent way and loves staying close by for head scratches and belly rubs.

Liberty was rescued from a Houston shelter after raising her puppies in foster care. All of her puppies have been adopted, and now she is ready for a loving home of her own.

Ideal Home

Liberty is dog friendly and has enjoyed canine companionship. She does appreciate having her own space around food and special toys, and she is working on staying calm and focused when seeing dogs on leash. Liberty would do best in a cat-free home.

She enjoys car rides and handles shorter trips well, though she may experience carsickness on longer drives.

Ongoing Health

Liberty is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease.

Training & Support

Liberty is potty trained and currently working on kennel training. She is food motivated, which helps with training, and her foster is helping her build calm leash-walking skills.
