Meet Beatrice, a 5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a joyful personality and an unforgettable full-body wiggle. She loves tossing toys, car rides, belly and booty scratches, and cuddling with her people. Beatrice is playful yet content to relax beside you, making her a loving, funny, loyal companion.

Ideal Home

Beatrice would prefer to be the only dog, though she may do well with a calm, easygoing male dog who respects her space. She cannot live with cats. She did wonderfully with a seven-year-old child, remaining sweet, gentle, playful, and calm. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, as she is still working on her leash manners.

Ongoing Health

Beatrice's adoption fee includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, a heartworm test and treatment if needed, spay/neuter, a microchip with lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Beatrice is smart, treat-motivated, eager to please, and very trainable. She is house-trained and would benefit from continued work on leash manners and confidence. Adopters receive behavioral information, training resources, and access to additional training support.

Nationwide USDA-certified transport with 24/7 care and drop-off locations is available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. A $87 transportation surcharge applies. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA; Buffalo, NY; or Brattleboro, VT.
