Himari is a sweet 10-month-old female terrier mix who currently weighs around 22 lbs and is expected to grow to about 33 lbs. Born on April 10, 2024, Himari was rescued with her mother in Matamoros, Mexico. She is a docile, affectionate, playful, friendly, and loving pup who is learning to trust people. While a bit shy and nervous with new faces, she quickly warms up. Himari is very active and enjoys running and playing with her dog friends.

Ideal Home

This loving pup would thrive in a home that understands the needs of rescued animals and is prepared to offer protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred. A high level of patience and tolerance is a must, as Himari may need time to adjust and decompress in her new environment. It's important to realize that rescued dogs might have experienced trauma and will require understanding. Himari is not house-trained.

• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet-and-greet with Himari and her foster will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period may be offered.

Transportation

Himari is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on an upcoming cross-country trip if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure, covering service by a transport company. Transport is available to the adopter's home address.
