Major Virgil Goofball is a big, lovable, gray-and-white young dog with a goofy personality and a serious commitment to fetch. He adores toys—especially his tiny stuffed Lamby—and carries it proudly, releases it gently, and waits for the next game. Virgil is playful, affectionate, and still growing into his body, making him an endearing oversized puppy.
Ideal Home
Virgil gets along well with other dogs and enjoys enthusiastic, rough-and-tumble play. A playful canine companion could be a good match, though he can also be happy as the only dog with plenty of toys and people who enjoy playing with him. Because he is still learning his size and personal space, a home without small children is the best fit for now.
Ongoing Health
The $1,000 adoption fee includes veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, neutering, microchipping, a travel health certificate, and transport costs. A $87 transportation surcharge applies.
Training & Support
Virgil is house-trained and settles politely in the car once he is aboard, though he may need a boost or encouragement getting in. He is still learning body awareness and will benefit from continued guidance and structure. The rescue provides trainer assessments, individualized behavior support, and access to training resources for adopters.
