Apollo is a sweet, chill 3-year-old Saint Bernard–Newfoundland mix who loves cuddling and staying close to his people. After being injured when he escaped from an unsafe home, he is looking for a patient forever home where he can be the only dog.
Ideal Home
Apollo would thrive with a physically fenced yard and people who can give him love, understanding, and time to adjust. He is curious around cats and may dash over to sniff, but he listens when redirected. He is sensitive to thunder and may want to be held or skip a meal until the weather passes.
Ongoing Health
Apollo weighs about 85 pounds and has a beautiful black coat with a white chest blaze and white markings on his paws. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative. He previously sustained several puncture wounds after being attacked by other dogs.
Training & Support
Apollo walks well on leash, knows basic commands, and is obedient when redirected. Continued guidance with leash skills and basic commands will help him build confidence and bond with his humans.
