A little about them
Popps is a silly, smart, playful 3-month-old Staffie mix weighing 24 pounds. Fostered in Houston, Texas, he loves toys, chase games, zooming off with stolen toys, watching TV with his people, and discovering the world at his own pace. He is sweet, curious, and learning to enjoy affection, especially ear scratches.
Ideal Home
Popps loves children and has done well with a 16-month-old and a 5-year-old. He is cat-friendly and excited to make canine friends, though he has not yet had direct play with another dog. He would thrive with a patient, loving family who can provide encouragement, playtime, and opportunities to build his confidence.
Ongoing Health
Popps survived Parvo after receiving antibody treatment and dedicated care. He is currently 24 pounds, and his listed breed, age, and eventual size are estimates.
Training & Support
Popps is doing well with leash walking and is working on potty training. He loves his crate and sees it as a cozy safe space. He is food-motivated and has been wonderful about sharing his food, toys, treats, and space.
Application Details
- Applicants should be serious about adopting and ensure all household decision-makers are on board.
- Because Popps is a young puppy, someone should be home more than away. Applicants who work outside the home for more than four hours must explain who will spend time with him while they are away.
- Puppies under six months are adopted on a spay/neuter contract. Adopters are responsible for having Popps altered when age-appropriate, and $100 of the adoption donation will be refunded after proof is provided.
- Applications start by contacting the provider through Wags.
Transportation
Popps can be transported to the right adopter. Transports run every few weeks, and approved adopters will have him placed on the next available transport.
