Meet Rush – The Sweet, Snuggly “Needy Boy”
Rush is a loving senior with a gentle heart and a deep devotion to his sister, Rylie. The two were rescued together and have spent their entire lives side by side. Now in their golden years, Rush is looking for a calm, caring home where he and Rylie can stay together and enjoy a peaceful retirement.
Rush is incredibly affectionate and thrives on attention. He loves being petted, cuddled, and close to his people at all times. True to his nickname, “Needy Boy,” he’s happiest when he’s getting love and giving it right back. One of his favorite pastimes is licking Rylie’s ears—she’s the only one who seems to enjoy it as much as he does.
While Rush is sweet and gentle, he can be a little more sensitive than his sister. He sometimes gets nervous, especially around new experiences like car rides or visits to the vet. He still enjoys a little playtime, especially chasing his green bone, though he doesn’t have quite the stamina he once did.
Ideal Home
Rush is used to a steady routine and a quiet home. He sleeps in a crate at night, relaxes indoors during the day, and prefers to stay close to Rylie and his people. Both dogs enjoy lounging by the fireplace and being in the same room as their family. He would do best in a calm home where he can stay with his lifelong best friend, Rylie.
Ongoing Health
Rush is current on vaccines and heartworm prevention. He has cataracts and some hearing loss, but is otherwise generally healthy. Like many seniors, he benefits from a consistent diet and routine to keep his tummy happy.
Training & Support
Rush is sensitive and can get nervous around new experiences. A consistent routine and patient introductions to new things will help him feel secure.
