Maple Bourbon a.k.a. Chance

Chance is a handsome, maple-brown dog with soulful eyes, a bent tail, and a wonderfully goofy personality. He adores his people, loves affection, and comes alive around toys. He also enjoys car rides and is eager to keep learning.

Chance was found wandering in Livingston, Texas. His history is unknown, but he has scars and has learned to be wary of other dogs. After three weeks of professional board-and-train, he is making progress with canine communication and appropriate introductions.

Ideal Home

Chance would thrive with a patient adopter who can provide reassurance, structure, slow introductions, and continued training. He shines with people and loves staying close to his person. He may cry initially when left behind but settles in his kennel or a safe outdoor space, especially with something carrying his person's scent.

Ongoing Health

No diagnosed medical conditions or health tests are stated.

Training & Support

Chance is smart, observant, sensitive, and eager to please. He is making good progress with house training and does well on a predictable schedule; he has never had an accident in his kennel. He generally walks nicely on leash, though dogs or squirrels can excite him, and he has been muzzle-trained.
