Rufus

Meet Rufus, a handsome 1.5-year-old, 47-pound Staffie mix looking for his forever family. He has a sweet personality and medium energy, enjoying adventures as much as relaxing with his people.

Rufus is affectionate, playful, loyal, and loves toys, treats, belly rubs, and couch cuddles. He forms deep bonds with his family and may need slow, positive introductions to men. With patience, he becomes a devoted companion.

Ideal Home

Rufus plays wonderfully with both small and large dogs, and a home with another playful dog would be ideal. He currently lives with a cat and politely ignores them. He has done very well with children ages 9 and up.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Rufus is fully house trained and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate and relaxes there while home alone. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and shows no leash reactivity toward unfamiliar dogs. He is not a fan of baths and may need a little help getting into the car, but responds well to patience and encouragement.

Transportation

Transport out of state is available to an approved adopter, with transports running every few weeks.
