Meet Maya! ❤️ This sweet and intelligent 6-year-old Cattle Dog/Husky mix is looking for a loving foster or foster-to-adopt home. Maya is a truly special girl who has already made incredible progress thanks to a recent professional board-and-train program. She's now a pro at leash walking, has built her confidence, improved her impulse control, mastered "place" work, and is learning to truly relax. Maya is affectionate, loyal, and always eager to please, forming strong bonds with her people. She thrives with structure, consistency, and clear leadership. Maya is continuing to work through some separation anxiety and resource guarding stemming from insecurity, and she's doing wonderfully with her training.

Ideal Home

Maya would do best in a home with adults or families with older children. She needs an active household committed to daily exercise, including about 3 miles of walking. Her ideal humans will also be dedicated to continuing her training and providing the consistent structure she needs to thrive.

Ongoing Health

Maya is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Maya has completed a professional board-and-train program and is working through some separation anxiety and resource guarding. She is doing wonderfully with her training. Two private training sessions through From The Heart Dog Services are included to help ensure a successful transition.
