Blanche is a sweet, shy girl with soulful, big brown eyes and a unique coat color. She's between 4-5 years old and weighs 21 lbs. Blanche and her best friend Dorothy were rescued from a difficult situation in Louisiana, where they had lived their entire lives in an outdoor kennel. Now in foster care, Blanche is learning all about the good life! She loves walks, sunbathing, and playing in the grass. She's a dream on leash, rides well in the car, and is reliably potty trained. Blanche is excellent with other dogs and cats and is truly a "dog's dog." She needs a home with another confident dog to help her learn and build confidence. Blanche has a wonderful way with other dogs, showing a motherly tolerance for puppies, playfulness with her peers, gentleness with seniors, and a quiet understanding for fellow shy dogs. She's a mama dog at heart and would be a perfect resident dog for a home that fosters puppies or kittens! Blanche is still very shy with new people and may always be a one or two-person dog. Once she trusts you, she'll shower you with love, light up when she sees you, and melt into your arms when you pick her up for a hug. She can be shy in new situations and tends to hide when strangers or children visit, but she has never shown fear aggression. Blanche is blossoming in foster care and will continue to do so in her forever home with time and patience.
