Corky

Corky is a handsome young Great Pyrenees mix with striking black markings, including a facial mask and unique spots on his back and tail base. He has an even-tempered personality, remains unfazed by barking dogs, and is a steady, polite companion. Corky may show youthful enthusiasm on leash, but generally walks beautifully and is eager to please. He is an active boy who will thrive with daily walks, engaging activities, and plenty of loving human interaction.

Ideal Home

Corky is strong and energetic, so he would do best with teenagers or adults, or with an experienced family familiar with Great Pyrenees traits. The rescue reports that he is good with cats, dogs, and children under eight.

Ongoing Health

Corky is vaccinated and neutered. His adoption fee includes distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Corky is house-trained and generally walks well on leash. The rescue provides lifelong support and advice to adopters.

Application Details

• Complete an adoption application to begin the matching process.
• Adoption is not first come, first served; the rescue and its fosters work to find the right fit for each dog.
• Puppies are placed with a youthful, playful adult resident dog of similar size, and applicants should have someone home at least part of the day.
• Preference is given to applicants with Great Pyrenees experience.
• Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan.
• Resident pets must be current on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention and be altered.
• The adoption fee is $450.

Transportation

• Transport services are available outside the Texas area, with adopters responsible for transportation costs.
• Northeast transport is $200.
• Northwest and Midwest transport ranges from $225–$350.
• Southeast transport ranges from $250–$350.
