Gunner is a 3-year-old, 50-pound male black and tan hound mix with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure! He was rescued from a small-town dog pound and is now ready to find his forever home. Gunner is a well-behaved boy who enjoys a good nap on the couch, especially when it's hot in Texas. He's crate-trained, comes when called, and enjoys car rides. He's also a fan of baths and loves to play with his doggy friends.

Ideal Home

Gunner thrives in a home where he can enjoy plenty of indoor relaxation, especially during warmer weather. He's a hound, so he'll likely be vocal about squirrels and passersby, and he enjoys a good romp with other dogs. A secure kitchen to prevent counter-surfing and garbage raids would be ideal!

Ongoing Health

Gunner is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-negative. He receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Gunner knows basic commands like "sit" and "come." He's also leash-trained and good about baths. He can get excited about squirrels and neighborhood activity, and he's known to counter-surf and raid the garbage if cabinets aren't secured. Consistent training and a watchful eye will help him succeed!
