Teeter

Meet Teeter, a playful and loving companion who is ready to bring joy to your family! Teeter was rescued from Duplin County shelter in North Carolina, where he was initially a bit shy. After a flight to New Jersey and settling into his foster home, Teeter blossomed into an exuberant and friendly pup. He loves playing with his foster sister, going for walks, and showering everyone he meets with affection. Teeter is a quick learner, already mastering "sit" and responding to his name. He's eager to learn more and would likely thrive in obedience classes. Teeter's enthusiasm for life is infectious, and he truly wants to be in the middle of all the family action.

Ideal Home

Teeter would do well in a home with another dog or as an only pet. He is gentle and playful, making him an ideal companion for children of all ages.

Ongoing Health

Teeter is up-to-date on vaccinations. He is not yet neutered, but is eligible for low-cost neutering through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program with proof of adoption.

Training & Support

Teeter is currently being housebroken and crate trained and is learning quickly. He is still very much a puppy and is in the chewing stage, so he will need patient owners who can provide him with boundaries and redirection. He sometimes engages in play biting and pulls at clothing, but his bites are not forceful, making him suitable for homes with young children. He is not yet formally leash trained and can be easily distracted on walks.
