Perla

Perla is a 10-pound, two- to three-year-old no-shed mix who may include Poodle, Havanese, and Schnauzer. Rescued from a hoarding, neglect, and cruelty situation, she arrived traumatized and shy—especially around men—but is gaining confidence every day. She is affectionate, enjoys laps and cozy dog beds, and is becoming playful with fabric toys. Her soft coat is not difficult to groom and will become fluffier as it grows back.

Ideal Home

Perla is comfortable with dogs and was instantly comfortable with a visiting ten-year-old child. She may need encouragement to share a lap with other dogs. A patient, caring home will help her continue building confidence.

Training & Support

• Crate trained overnight.
• Doing well with daytime house training, but needs a family committed to finishing it.
• Needs additional leash training.
