A little about them
Artie is a 3-year-old, 32-pound Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This spayed girl is playful, affectionate, smart, outgoing, and full of energy. She loves fetch, toys, walks, outdoor activities, car rides, and cuddling after playtime. Artie is currently in San Antonio, Texas and is available for out-of-state adoption.
She has done well with large dogs in foster care, though slow introductions are important. She may bark or pull toward dogs on leash and can be protective of her toys at first, but she backs off quickly and has not escalated. Artie has not been around cats or children yet. She would thrive with an active, patient family committed to continuing her training and helping her settle calmly and share toys.
Ideal Home
Artie would enjoy an active home with regular walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space would be a bonus, and she may enjoy a playful canine companion, though another dog is not required.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and vaccinated. Her age and breed are estimates based on available information and veterinary recommendations.
Training & Support
Artie is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and can remain crated for approximately 4–6 hours during the day, though she may whine briefly before settling. She should continue to be crated when left alone because she is curious and may get into things on counters. She rides well in the car, handles stairs, and would benefit from continued leash manners, settling, and toy-sharing practice.
