A little about them
Sully is a 52-pound Chocolate Labrador mix with a playful, affectionate personality and plenty of puppy-like enthusiasm. He loves people, dogs, toys, walks, and relaxing with his family after exercise. Sully is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas.
Ideal Home
Sully would thrive with an active, loving family committed to helping him continue learning. A playful, dog-friendly companion would be wonderful, though he could also be the only dog with regular playdates. Because of his enthusiastic play style, a very small or delicate dog may not be the best match.
He has been around a 3-year-old child but can be jumpy and barky when meeting younger children. Older, dog-savvy children who are comfortable around energetic dogs may be a better fit. Supervision and continued work on his manners will be important.
Sully has not lived with cats. He has seen outdoor cats without much interest, but his playful nature may be too enthusiastic for some cats, so any introduction should be slow and carefully supervised.
Ongoing Health
Sully is neutered and vaccinated. No medical conditions or health concerns are reported.
Training & Support
Sully is house trained and comfortable in his crate for 4–5 hours. He is learning to walk politely on leash and already knows “down.” He is still working on jumping, barking when excited, and counter surfing, and he responds well to consistency, movement, and redirection. He has shown no food, treat, or toy guarding.
