Jesse Bear is believed to be a Shepherd/Husky mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 52 lbs. He's a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, he's as sweet as they come and truly lives up to his name as a "teddy bear" with his adorable, gentle face. Jesse has an easygoing and affectionate nature, seeming happiest when he's included in his people's lives. He's been friendly with everyone he's met, leaning in for love and showering gentle kisses. He's been great with children aged 5-8, showing a particular fondness for an 8-year-old boy.
Ideal Home
Jesse would be happiest in a home with children 8 years old and older. He would also thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard, as he loves to explore, zoom, and soak up the sunshine outdoors. While he loves being included in all activities, he'll be an amazing coworker if you work from home! Ultimately, as long as he's with his people, he's happy.
Ongoing Health
Jesse is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Jesse is dog-friendly and has done well with dogs of various sizes, matching their energy levels for play. He is also cat-friendly and was respectful around a cat during introductions. Our trainers on staff have assessed Jesse and will provide extensive behavioral information to ensure a perfect fit for your family.

Transporation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
