A little about them
Shire is a smart, treat-motivated Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog mix who needs patience, time, and a slow, steady approach. He may seem tense and protective when he feels crowded or confined, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes happy, goofy, and affectionate—especially enjoying ear scratches.
Ideal Home
Shire would do best with patient adopters who understand his insecurities and will give him time to adjust. Small children are not recommended, and an adult-only home is preferred. He could be a wonderful companion for truck travel, camping, hiking, or a relaxed home.
Training & Support
Shire is smart and motivated by treats. Please ask a kennel staff member to remove him from his kennel so you can see how he changes during interaction.
