Rune is a sweet, silly, affectionate 7-month-old terrier mix weighing 36 pounds. Social, curious, playful, and outgoing, he loves meeting people, dogs, and cats and is always ready for the next adventure. He enjoys walks, hiking, toys, puzzle games, backyard play, swimming, cuddling, and spending time with his family.

Ideal Home

Rune would thrive with a fun, outdoorsy family that will keep his curious mind and playful body engaged. He would enjoy a fenced yard, though he can live in an apartment, condo, or townhouse with multiple daily walks and play sessions. A friendly, playful dog companion would be wonderful. He is dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly, and would do best with dog-friendly cats familiar with dogs. Because his zoomies may accidentally knock over toddlers, extra care is recommended around children learning to walk.

Ongoing Health

The $650 adoption cost includes age-appropriate vaccinations, neuter, microchipping, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and necessary veterinary care while in the rescue's care.

Training & Support

Rune is kennel trained, leash trained, and potty trained. He alerts his humans when he needs to go outside and is generally calm on walks, though treats help redirect his excitement around other dogs. He enjoys sleeping with his family but can settle in a kennel with treats and favorite toys.
