Spud

Spud, also known as Spudmuffin, is a joyful tripod, professional cuddler, squeaky-toy enthusiast, and loyal companion. He loves being with people and wants to join you for walks, cuddles, outdoor time, and everyday activities. Despite everything he has been through, Spud remains full of love and excitement for life.

Ideal Home

Spud loves kids and people. He has done well with puppies and other dogs when introductions are slow and calm. He can become overly enthusiastic when meeting new dogs, so patient introductions are important. Spud is not good with cats.

He enjoys stuffed animals with squeakers, though he can destroy them within a few hours to a day. He may also prefer being lifted onto the bed like the prince he believes himself to be—even though he has been caught getting up there on his own.

Spud is affectionate, playful, goofy, and people-oriented. He benefits from slow, calm introductions with other dogs and has already successfully connected with a female foster dog.
