Meet Stormy, a petite 1-year-old Staffie mix weighing 28 pounds. This sweet, playful girl is affectionate once she warms up and loves cuddles, kisses, and being loved. She is medium-to-high energy, enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes, and would love a canine best friend.
Stormy is currently fostered in Houston, Texas. She can be transported for an approved adopter.
Ideal Home
Stormy can be shy and unsure in new situations, so she will do best with slow, calm introductions and a patient family. Older, dog-savvy children are recommended. She enjoys other dogs and respects their boundaries, but should be fed separately from resident dogs to help avoid resource-guarding issues. She has not been around cats, and she has a curious prey drive toward squirrels.
Ongoing Health
Stormy is spayed, vaccinated, and up to date on preventatives. She can be nervous in the car and prefers the windows closed, but has no issues with stairs.
Training & Support
Stormy is fully crate trained and potty trained. She is still working on leash manners and may pull, so continued leash training, socialization, patience, and positive support will help her grow in confidence. She loves watching dog TV.
