A little about them

Meet Nola, a loving American Pitbull Terrier mix with soulful eyes, a velvety black coat, and a big heart. She enjoys sniff-filled walks, sunbathing, cuddling with her favorite people or toy, tug, and outdoor adventures. Nola is mellow in the mornings and becomes more energetic as the day goes on.

Ideal Home

Nola does best with older children or active adults who can enjoy her adventurous spirit and affection. A fenced yard would be ideal, though an active family can also help her thrive. She is selectively social with dogs and has lived with male and female dogs and attended doggy daycare with positive feedback. She has had minor altercations around food or toys and needs clear boundaries and continued positive socialization. She may pull and become reactive when she sees other dogs on walks. Cats are not recommended.

Ongoing Health

Nola is vaccinated and spayed/neutered. She enjoys grooming, especially gentle brushing and sweet talk.

Training & Support

Nola is crate trained and house-trained. She knows spin, high five, and sit, especially when treats are involved. She enjoys interaction, structure, attention, reassurance, and positive reinforcement. She may bark from the window when she notices passersby, but she is not trying to guard.
