Leia is a timid, 20-pound Yorkshire Terrier mix who is about four years old. She came from a hoarding situation and is the last of fifteen dogs still waiting for a home. With love, patience, and time, Leia has shown promising progress and is learning to trust people.

Ideal Home

Leia would do best in a low-key home with a fenced-in yard. She is scared of loud noises and new people and will need time to acclimate to her new owner and routine.

Ongoing Health

• Leia tested negative for heartworms and received a ProHeart shot.
• She has been vaccinated and spayed.

Training & Support

• One volunteer can pick Leia up for bathing and vaccination.
• Another volunteer has walked her on a leash, and several people can interact with her.
• Her new family should continue working with her and teaching her house-training.
