This cutie is Thunder! He's a 10-month-old bundle of zest, weighing in around 40 pounds. While we think he might have some Pit Bull or Lab Retriever in his mix, the most important thing is that he's an adorable pup who desperately needs a loving home. He comes from an area with high shelter euthanasia rates, so choosing Thunder truly saves his life and opens up space for another dog in need.
Thunder is a playful, sweet, curious, and incredibly cuddly boy. He's a social butterfly who adores everyone he meets and thrives on companionship. He's a master of fetch and would happily play all day before snuggling up for a cozy nap. Thunder lives with three cats and gets along wonderfully with them. He already knows "sit" and "wait," is crate trained, and is potty trained, making him a true joy in his foster home. He'd love a home with some outdoor space to explore and bask in his favorite sunbathing spots!

Training & Support
Thunder is still young and will need a family committed to continued training, socialization, and the time and patience that puppyhood requires. Consistent routine, structure, boundaries, and positive social experiences are key to raising a confident, well-rounded adult dog. We do require adopters to continue crate training upon arrival home, as it supports potty training, energy management, and long-term success.

Thunder is located in Houston, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. A $87 surcharge applies for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
